Para celebrar os 8 anos de atividade, o Núcleo de Estudos Estratégicos em Democracia, Desenvolvimento e Sustentabilidade da UFABC, preparou um ciclo de 12 seminários gravados online com professores de centros de pesquisa internacionais. São diálogos sobre os temas da Agenda 2030 da ONU após a pandemia, em tempos do novo paradigma tecnológico 4.0. Todos refletem sobre 1) Quais as principais transformações produtivas, tecnológicas e financeiras em processo? 2) Quais são as disputas principais entre Estados e os desafios ambientais? 3) Quais as consequências distributivas, inclusive do ponto de vista de raça e gênero? 4) Como aliviar desigualdades, a partir de soluções populares e ação do Estado?

A Escola do Parlamento vai atuar em parceria para divulgar este conteúdo de excelência acadêmica, primeiro com um evento ao vivo de lançamento e, posteriormente, disponibilizando os vídeos gratuitamente em seu Canal no YouTube.

To celebrate 8 years of activity, the Center for Strategic Studies in Democracy, Development and Sustainability at UFABC has prepared a cycle of 12 online seminars recorded with professors from international research centers. These dialogues include the themes of the UN’s Agenda 2030 after the pandemic, in times of the new technological paradigm 4.0. All reflect on 1) What are the main productive, technological and financial transformations in process? 2) What are the main disputes between states and environmental challenges? 3) What are the distributional consequences, including from a race and gender perspective? 4) How to alleviate inequalities, based on popular solutions and state action?

The Escola do Parlamento will work in partnership to disseminate this content of academic excellence, firstly with a live launch event and, secondly, by publishing the videos on its YouTube Channel.

Professor visitante na École des Hautes Études em Sciences Sociales (EHESS/Paris), Facultad Latinoamericana de Ciencias Sociales (FLACSO, Ecuador) e University of Caldas (Colombia) e diversos trabalhos de consultoria e pesquisa financiados por organismos e instituições multilaterais como o International Development Research Centre (Canadá), o Programa das Nações Unidas para o Desenvolvimento, o Institute of Development Studies (Reino Unido), e o Instituto Interamericano de Cooperação Agrícola.

Atualmente é professor associado da Universidade Federal do ABC, atuando no programa de pós-graduação em Ciências Humanas e Sociais. Tem experiência na área de Ciência Política, com ênfase em Internet e Política. É pesquisador do Núcleo de Estudos Pós-graduados em Ciências Sociais da PUCSP (NEAMP) e do Laboratório de Tecnologias Livres da UFABC (LabLivre).

Cristina Fróes de Borja Reis » Professora de Economia da UFABC, atual coordenadora do NEEDDS/ UFABC. Possui graduação em Ciências Econômicas pela Universidade de São Paulo, mestrado e doutorado em Economia da Indústria e da Tecnologia pela Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro. Pós-doutorado na International Post-Doc Initiative da Technische Universitat Berlin/ Marie Curie Actions. Tem experiência na área de Economia, com ênfase em Economia Internacional, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: cadeias globais de valor, desenvolvimento, investimento público, estrutura produtiva e comércio internacional.

Fernanda Graziella Cardoso » Atualmente é pró-reitora de graduação da UFABC. Doutora em Economia do Desenvolvimento pela FEA-USP, mestre em Economia da Indústria e da Tecnologia pelo IE-UFRJ e graduada em Economia pela FEA-USP. Atua principalmente nos seguintes temas: Desenvolvimento Socioeconômico, História Econômica Brasileira e História do Pensamento Econômico.
She is currently pro-rector of graduation at UFABC. Doctor in Development Economics from FEA-USP, Master in Economics of Industry and Technology from IE-UFRJ and graduated in Economics from FEA-USP. She works mainly on the following themes: Socioeconomic Development, Brazilian Economic History and History of Economic Thought

Gabriel Almeida Antunes Rossini » Professor e coordenador do Bacharelado de Ciências Econômicas da Universidade Federal do ABC. Possui doutorado e mestrado pelo Instituto de Economia da Universidade Estadual de Campinas (IE/UNICAMP). Coordenou o Núcleo de Estudos Estratégicos sobre Democracia, Desenvolvimento e Sustentabilidade (NEEDDS-UFABC) entre 2019 e 2021. É líder do Grupo de Pesquisa Economia Política e História Econômica (GPEPHE – CNPq) da UFABC. É pesquisador da rede de pesquisa INCT Observatório das Metrópoles: núcleo São Paulo.

Atualmente é Professor Adjunto da Universidade Federal do ABC (UFABC). Foi Técnico em Planejamento e Pesquisa e Coordenador da área de estudo de políticas internacionais do IPEA. Tem experiência na área de Ciências Sociais, com ênfase em Relações Internacionais, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: globalização, políticas públicas, sindicalismo, empresas multinacionais, reestruturação produtiva e integração.

Jose Paulo Guedes Pinto » Bacharel em Ciências Econômicas pela Universidade de São Paulo. É mestre em Economia pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul e doutor em Economia pela Universidade de São Paulo. Em 2018 concluiu seu pós-doutorado na London School of Economics tendo tido Bolsa de Pesquisa no Exterior (BPE) pela FAPESP por 10 meses.  Foi professor adjunto de Economia da UFRRJ e é professor vinculado ao Bacharelado de Relações Internacionais na UFABC. Membro do Grupo de Pesquisa em Políticas Públicas para o Acesso à Informação da Universidade de São Paulo (Gpopai-USP). Fundador e coordenador do grupo de pesquisa interdisciplinar Ação Covid-19 que une pesquisa científica e ativismo social para combater a disseminação do novo coronavírus nas cidades brasileiras. Atua hoje nos seguintes temas: américa latina, economia política internacional, macroeconomia, sociedades cooperativas, economia brasileira, crise econômica, desenvolvimento, acesso à informação, ecologia urbana e economia da colaboração em massa.
Bachelor’s Degree in Economic Sciences from the University of São Paulo. He holds a Master’s in Economics from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul and a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of São Paulo. In 2018 he completed his post-doctoral studies at the London School of Economics having received a Research Scholarship Abroad (BPE) from FAPESP for 10 months. He was adjunct professor of economics at UFRRJ and is a professor linked to the Bachelor of International Relations at UFABC. Member of the Research Group on Public Policies for Access to Information at the University of São Paulo (Gpopai-USP). Founder and coordinator of the interdisciplinary research group Ação Covid-19, which unites scientific research and social activism to combat the spread of the new coronavirus in Brazilian cities. It currently works on the following topics: latin america, international political economy, macroeconomics, cooperative societies, Brazilian economy, economic crisis, development, access to information, urban ecology and the economy of mass collaboration.

Leonardo Freire Melo » Agrônomo pela Universidade Federal de Lavras, Administrador Público pela Fundação João Pinheiro, Mestre em Engenharia Civil (Planejamento Ambiental) e Doutor em Demografia pela Universidade Estadual de Campinas. Atualmente é Professor Adjunto do Bacharelado em Planejamento Territorial e do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Planejamento e Gestão do Território da Universidade Federal do ABC. Seu trabalho se concentra nas áreas de Planejamento, Ambiente e Demografia, com ênfase na interface população-ambiente, tendo como principais interesses de pesquisa as questões relacionadas com o complexo população-ambiente-consumo e as dimensões humanas das mudanças ambientais globais, assim como a participação pública nos processos de tomada de decisão.
Agronomist from the Federal University of Lavras, Public Administrator from the João Pinheiro Foundation, Master in Civil Engineering (Environmental Planning) and Doctor in Demography from the State University of Campinas. He is currently an Adjunct Professor at the Bachelor’s Degree in Territorial Planning and at the Post-Graduate Program in Territorial Planning and Management at the Federal University of ABC. His work focuses on the areas of Planning, Environment and Demography, with an emphasis on the population-environment interface, having as main research interests issues related to the population-environment-consumption complex and the human dimensions of global environmental changes, as well as the public participation in decision-making processes

Luciana Rodrigues Fagnoni Travassos » Docente do Bacharelado de Planejamento Territorial e do Bacharelado em Ciências e Humanidades da Universidade Federal do ABC. Possui graduação em Arquitetura e Urbanismo, mestrado e doutorado em Ciência Ambiental pela Universidade de São Paulo. Foi assessora da Secretaria Municipal de Desenvolvimento Urbano, docente da Faculdade de Arquitetura e Urbanismo da USP, do Instituto Mauá de Tecnologia e do Centro Universitário FIAM/FAAM e pesquisadora do Laboratório de Urbanismo da Metrópole, LUME-FAUUSP. Tem experiência na área de Planejamento Urbano e Regional, com ênfase nas questões ambientais do meio urbano, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: drenagem urbana, planejamento ambiental urbano, políticas públicas, meio ambiente urbano e sustentabilidade ambiental.

Marcio Pochmann » Graduação em Ciências Econômicas pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul, pós-graduação em Ciências Políticas pela Associação de Ensino Superior do Distrito Federal, doutorado em Ciência Econômica pela Universidade Estadual de Campinas, e concursos de pesquisador do Centro de Estudos Sindicais e de Economia do Trabalho (1989), de professor (1994), Livre Docente (2000) e Titular (2014) pela Unicamp. Atualmente é professor visitante sênior do NEEDDS/UFABC. Tem experiência na área de Economia, com ênfase em Economia Social e do Trabalho, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: desenvolvimento, políticas públicas e relações de trabalho.

Ramatis Jacino » Possui mestrado em História Econômica e doutorado em História Econômica pela Universidade de São Paulo. Atualmente é professor adjunto nível I da Universidade Federal do ABC e pós doutorando no centro de Estudos Sociais da Universidade de Coimbra. Tem experiência na área de História, com ênfase em História do Brasil, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: negros, mercado de trabalho, abolição, população negra, exclusão, trabalho e racismo.

He is currently adjunct professor at level I at the Federal University of ABC and a post doctoral candidate at the Center for Social Studies at the University of Coimbra. Professora Adjunta da Universidade Federal do ABC. Vice-coordenadora do NEEDDS/ UFABC. Integrante do grupo “Neoliberalismo e Relações de Classe no Brasil” vinculado ao Centro de Estudos Marxistas (Cemarx), e do Grupo de Estudos e Pesquisas para Alternativas em Relações Internacionais (GARI) vinculado a Unesp- Franca. Membro do Comitê Editorial da Revista Crítica Marxista e do Conselho Editorial da Revista Interação. Pesquisa nas áreas de Política Externa Brasileira, Integração sul-americana, Teoria das Relações Internacionais e Teoria do Estado.

Vanessa Empinotti » Desenvolve pesquisa em governança socioambiental, com foco em insegurança hídrica, relações entre o rural e o urbano e planejamento territorial a partir da perspectiva da Ecologia Política. Atualmente é Professora Adjunta de Planejamento e Política Rural na Universidade Federal do ABC, onde é vinculada ao Centro de Engenharia, Modelagem e Ciências Sociais Aplicadas, ao Bacharelado em Planejamento Territorial e ao Programa de Pós Graduação em Planejamento e Gestão do Território. Colabora como pesquisadora associada no Laboratório de Justiça Territorial – LabJuta da UFABC, onde coordena o grupo de pesquisa eco.t – Ecologia Política, Planejamento e Território. Sua pesquisa utiliza a perspectiva da Ecologia Política para analisar arranjos institucionais, governança ambiental e relações de poder.
Develops research in socio-environmental governance, focusing on water insecurity, rural-urban relations and territorial planning from the perspective of Political Ecology. She is currently Adjunct Professor of Planning and Rural Policy at the Federal University of ABC, where she is linked to the Center for Engineering, Modeling and Applied Social Sciences, the Bachelor’s Degree in Spatial Planning and the Postgraduate Program in Spatial Planning and Management. She collaborates as an associate researcher at the Territorial Justice Laboratory – LabJuta at UFABC, where she coordinates the research group eco.t – Political Ecology, Planning and Territory. Her research uses the perspective of Political Ecology to analyze institutional arrangements, environmental governance and power relations

Atualmente é Professor de Economia Política e Desenvolvimento Internacional no King’s College London e Chefe do Departamento de Desenvolvimento Internacional. Foi Professor de Economia Política na Universidade SOAS de Londres, Chefe da Escola de Doutorado SOAS e Presidente do Departamento de Estudos de Desenvolvimento da SOAS. Saad-Filho foi Oficial Sênior de Assuntos Econômicos na Conferência das Nações Unidas sobre Comércio e Desenvolvimento (UNCTAD), em Genebra, em 2011-2012, e lecionou em universidades e instituições de pesquisa no Brasil, Canadá, China, Alemanha, Itália, Japão, Moçambique, Suíça e Reino Unido.

Eva Campos-Dominguez » Professora de História Moderna, Contemporânea e Americana, Jornalismo, Jornalismo e Comunicação Audiovisual e Publicidade na Faculdade de Filosofia e Letras, Universidade de Valladolid, Espanha. Doutorado pela Universidade Complutense de Madri, Prêmio Extraordinário de Doutorado e Professor Associado de Jornalismo da Universidade de Valladolid. Ela recebeu uma bolsa do Parlamento espanhol para a preparação de teses de doutorado e o Prêmio Jovem de Comunicação da Fundação Complutense de Madri (2007). Participou de diferentes projetos de pesquisa com financiamento público sobre política na Internet e é autora de várias publicações sobre ciberdemocracia, como por exemplo: La ciberdemocracia en el Congreso de los Diputados (2011), ou, entre outros, a democracia digital deliberativa (2012). Suas linhas de pesquisa se concentram na comunicação política na Internet, com especial interesse nos últimos anos na comunicação aberta do governo e do parlamento.

She received a scholarship from the Spanish Parliament for the preparation of doctoral theses and the Young Communication Award from the Complutense Foundation of Madrid (2007). She has participated in different publicly funded research projects on Internet politics and is the author of several publications on cyberdemocracy, such as: La ciberdemocracia en el Congreso de los Diputados (2011), or, among others, deliberative digital democracy (2012) . His lines of research focus on political communication on the Internet, with special interest in recent years in open communication by government and parliament.

Hilde Heynen » Professora de Teoria da Arquitetura na Universidade de Leuven, Bélgica. Ela estudou arquitetura e filosofia na Universidade de Leuven, onde também recebeu seu doutorado. Ela foi pós-doutoranda em J Paul Getty, pesquisadora do Radcliffe Institute (Harvard University) e ocupou cargos de visitante no MIT (Cambridge, Massachusetts), na AA-school (Londres), RMIT (Melbourne) e Harvard. Seu trabalho foi financiado por bolsas da Fundação de Pesquisa da Flandres, do Conselho de Pesquisa da Universidade de Leuven, do Fundo de Arquitetura da Holanda, da Fundação Graham e do Instituto Radcliffe de Estudos Avançados. Ingrid Harvold Kvangraven » professora em Desenvolvimento Internacional no King’s College, Londres. Anteriormente, era professora do Departamento de Política e afiliada ao Centro Interdisciplinar de Desenvolvimento Global da Universidade de York. Ela é doutora em Economia pela New School e tem graduação e mestrado em Estudos de Desenvolvimento pela Universidade de Oslo e pela London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), respectivamente. Ela já lecionou cursos de Economia do Desenvolvimento na The New School e no John Jay College of Criminal Justice em Nova York. Kvangraven também é editora fundadora do blog Developing Economics, coordenadora fundadora do Grupo de Trabalho de Desenvolvimento Econômico do INET Young Scholars Initiative, e co-fundadora e membro do conselho consultivo da Rethinking Economics – Noruega.

Previously, she was a professor in the Department of Policy and affiliated with the Interdisciplinary Center for Global Development at York University. Ken Shadlen » Professor de Estudos de Desenvolvimento no Departamento de Desenvolvimento Internacional da London School of Economics and Political Science. Áreas de pesquisa: economia política comparativa e internacional do desenvolvimento, com foco na compreensão da variação nas respostas das políticas nacionais às mudanças nas regras globais e nas políticas globais e transnacionais de propriedade intelectual (PI). Tinha um projeto financiado pelo ESRC “Implementação do TRIPS e Patenteamento Farmacêutico Secundário”. Ken também trabalha com economia política de saúde e políticas farmacêuticas, a dinâmica dos acordos comerciais “Norte-Sul” e a mudança dos padrões de relações governo-empresa e democratização. De 2011-2020, ele foi um dos Editores Administrativos do Journal of Development Studies.
Professor of Development Studies in the Department of International Development of the London School of Economics and Political Science. Resarch areas: comparative and international political economy of development, with a focus on understanding variation in national policy responses to changing global rules, and on the global and cross-national politics of intellectual property (IP). Had and ESRC-funded project “TRIPS Implementation and Secondary Pharmaceutical Patenting”. Ken also works on the political economy of health and pharmaceutical policies, the dynamics of “North-South” trade agreements, and changing patterns of government-business relations and democratization. Patrick Caron » Médico veterinário, PhD em geografia de desenvolvimento. Ele é especialista em sistemas agrícolas e dinâmicas territoriais, com um foco especial na pecuária. Diretor Internacional da Universidade de Excelência de Montpellier – MUSE, foi nomeado Vice-presidente para Assuntos Internacionais da Universidade de Montpellier, França, em janeiro de 2019. Seus trabalhos estão relacionados à análise do papel da agricultura e da pecuária nas transformações rurais, particularmente no Brasil, na África Austral e no Oriente Próximo. Ele é membro de muitos órgãos institucionais e interinstitucionais. Em particular, ele preside o Conselho Científico da AgroParisTech e é membro do Conselho Nacional Francês para o Desenvolvimento e Solidariedade Internacional.
Veterinarian, PhD in developmental geography. He specializes in agricultural systems and territorial dynamics, with a special focus on livestock. International Director of the University of Excellence de Montpellier – MUSE, he was appointed Vice President for International Affairs at the University of Montpellier, France, in January 2019. His work is related to the analysis of the role of agriculture and livestock in rural transformations, particularly in the Brazil, Southern Africa and the Near East. He is a member of many institutional and inter-institutional bodies. In particular, he chairs the Scientific Council of AgroParisTech and is a member of the French National Council for International Development and Solidarity.

Susana Beatriz Adamo » Pesquisadora do Center for International Earth Science Information Network (The Earth Institute, Columbia University) e professora adjunta do Programa de Graduação em Desenvolvimento Sustentável da mesma universidade. Co-coordenadora da Rede de Pesquisa Populacional-Ambiental (PERN), membro do Grupo de Trabalho sobre Mudanças Climáticas do Grupo de Observações da Terra-GEO e ex-membro do Comitê Consultivo Científico do IAI (Instituto Interamericano de Pesquisa em Mudanças Globais). Áreas de pesquisa: migração e deslocamento ambiental, vulnerabilidade social e mudança ambiental, dinâmica da migração interna em países em desenvolvimento e todos os aspectos de integração de dados relacionados a vínculos demográficos e ambientais, particularmente bancos de dados populacionais georreferenciados globais e regionais.

Yaffa Truelove » Professora de Geografia da University of Colorado Boulder, PhD University of Cambridge. Interesses de pesquisa: as conexões entre paisagens urbanas e processos sociopolíticos em cidades do Sul global. Em particular, ela examina a água e suas infraestruturas como uma lente para analisar as relações sociais e materiais nas cidades, bem como os diferentes regimes e instituições de governança urbana cotidiana. Sua pesquisa anterior concentrou-se predominantemente em cidades indianas, contribuindo para teorizações de ecologias políticas urbanas e feministas, urbanismo sulista e comparativo e modalidades “realmente existentes” de governança de água urbana em cidades pós-coloniais. Trabalhos recentes também incluem uma comparação intra-urbana colaborativa de infraestruturas precárias nas cidades de Mumbai, Delhi e Cidade do Cabo, bem como um projeto que examina a violência infraestrutural e as políticas cotidianas de interrupção do abastecimento de água na capital da Índia, Delhi.
Professor of Geography at the University of Colorado Boulder, PhD University of Cambridge. Research interests: the connections between urban landscapes and socio-political processes in cities of the global South. In particular, she examines water and its infrastructures as a lens for analyzing social and material relations in cities as well as differing regimes and institutions of everyday urban governance. Her research has predominately focused on Indian cities, contributing to theorizations of urban and feminist political ecologies, Southern and comparative urbanism, and “actually existing” modalities of urban water governance in postcolonial cities. Recent work also includes a collaborative intra-urban comparison of precarious infrastructures in the cities of Mumbai, Delhi and Cape Town as well as a project examining infrastructural violence and the everyday politics of water disruption in India’s capital city, Delhi.
